Fourth of July in OC

A few years ago, my parents bought a condo in Ocean City, Maryland and every summer since, our family goes down for vacation the week of the Fourth of July. While it's not the most swanky vacation spot ever, OC is a fun and relaxing place to spend time away from home and work (it has a beach... what else could you need??).

This year, Nathan and I could only go for the holiday weekend and a few days after, since I couldn't take too much time off at work. It was tough to squeeze seven days of vacation into four, but we had a great time and got to do some really fun things!

We spent lots of time soaking up the sun at the beach....

... and watched fireworks on the Fourth from the beach in front of the Boardwalk.

Nathan went golfing with my Dad and Pop...

... while I went outlet shopping with my Mom and made a few fabulous purchases.

We took a super fun ride on a jet ski around the Bay...

... and enjoyed an AMAZING all-you-can-eat crab, fried chicken, corn-on-the-cob and french fries feast...

... at PGN on 28th Street.

The next morning, we watched the sun come up on the beach...

... and went to the Fractured Prune for breakfast (Nathan had never been!).

After one last luxurious day at the beach, we went to Macky's...

... and enjoyed dinner on the deck overlooking the Bay.

It was so nice to get away from work, even if just for a few days, especially since I felt a little under-the-weather over the past few weeks. But I'm feeling much better now, so a few days at the beach must have been just what the doctor ordered! :)
