Sometimes, the little things can make all the difference. So this blog post is inspired by three new little things that have brightened up my week!
I'm a big fan of taking a snack to work to get me through the morning before lunch. My stand-by favorite is Special K Bars in Strawberry, but I recently found these Chex Mix Turtle Bars in the pantry. I might have a new favorite!
They are completely delicious - they're crunchy, gooey, salty and sweet all at the same time. They're perfect for satisfying a sweet craving and beating those 10:30 a.m. blues. Best of all, they're only 110 calories per bar. Love them!
While I was at Target yesterday picking up some last-minute necessities for our trip this weekend, I perused the hair care aisle for some new shampoo and conditioner. The girl that does my hair recently recommended that I use a "clarifying shampoo" to keep my blonde highlights looking brighter, longer. I couldn't find anything that said "clarifying," but I did find this John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner.
It comes in two varieties: one for lighter blondes and one for darker blondes (I got the darker). I used it this morning and I really love it! Not only is my hair soft and smooth (and smelling great!), my highlights look bright and shiny. We'll have to see how it works in the long run, but so far I'd definitely recommend it!
I ordered them from Target almost two weeks ago and they still have not arrived. It's a long story, but the online package tracking had them located in Baltimore this morning, so they will hopefully be delivered today. I very much wanted to take them on our trip so I'm crossing my fingers that they'll make it in time!
Speaking of our trip, the weekend forecast for Boston (one of the places we're most excited about going!) is calling for gorgeous fall weather:
And the fall foliage report for the Connecticut/Massachusetts region where we'll be traveling shows the leaves turning all over the place!
It looks like we'll get to enjoy some ideal fall weather and sights in New England - so excited! We've got a bunch of neat plans and I'm really looking forward to having some "us" time. :) Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend!
